I grew up in a lower income family
and my parents would never have indulged in the purchase a purebred Siamese.
When a relative offered my parents a Siamese in 1952 they made the commitment to
provide a loving forever home. If it were not for this free Siamese I would
never have grown up loving this breed. I can now offer this type of
experience to a deserving child. I have begun a scholarship program for
deserving special needs children. Families of special needs children often
cannot afford indulgences. They spend a lot of time working the system to get
treatments, basic equipment, physical therapy, or tutoring necessary for their child's
development. Volunteer work with pet therapy has shown me the medical benefits
of pet companionship. Knowing that they are working for a special reward can
work wonders with a student that struggles in school. Siamese cats are different
then other cats, just look at them to see this difference. Siamese can show a
child that being different can be a beautiful thing.

Our peanut at two weeks of age weighing only two pounds.
This photo was taken the first time I was able to hold her. She was born 14 weeks premature.
Tom put his wedding ring on her, it slipped over her hand and went all the way up to her shoulder.
